name; Trey Daniels alignment; neutral age; 16 birthdate; September 28, 1982 zodiac; Libra occupation; student languages; English, Spanish (high school level) religion; he insists it's surfing, whether that actually counts or not family; father, mother, older brother, older sister, younger brother |
Trey is the second youngest of four children. Although he and his siblings were all born in Australia, his parents originally moved there from California. His father is a marine biologist, notable in his own field though not particularly well-known outside of academia; his mother works only part-time at a vitamin store. Both parents were active environmentalists, and did their best to raise their children to be environmentally conscious. Aside from that, Trey's childhood was fairly normal. Since his family lived in close proximity to Bondi Beach, he spent most of his free time there as he grew up, and took up surfing at a fairly young age. Years of practice have made him very good at it. He discovered his powers when he was thirteen, and though he's experimented with them and practiced to get them under control, he doesn't have a clue about the end of the world and doesn't know where his powers came from, opting to just keep his mouth shut about it. He's almost done with the mandatory part of his schooling, and he's not quite sure what he's going to do after that. His parents are a bit worried that about his apparent lack of ambition, but they think that if they give him some space and a bit of time to think it over as he finishes high school, he'll figure out what he wants to do with himself. |
Trey is a pretty easy-going guy who would rather just avoid conflict altogether than stay in a situation where it might develop. He has an immense, borderline hippie respect for all life, human or otherwise, and although he's not zealous about pushing it on other people, he sticks by his beliefs. (He's also a vegetarian.) He has an almost fanatical devotion to surfing, being a purist who believes in "soul surfing" over the competitive, commercialized side of the sport. If told that his quasi-religious approach to the sport is stupid, he tends to just shrug and say that hey, maybe it is, but he doesn't see how it's any crazier than yoga. |
